I always love an "El Nino" year because I can plant and work outside into January. This year is no exception! The weather is warm - into the 50s and lower 60s - and the ground is not even beginning to freeze yet! So different than a usual winter when the ground is frozen well before Thanksgiving. :( In my 6 zone, I will take all the warmth I can get! Today I planted over 400 bulbs -- yes, Home Depot had a clearance sale and practically threw them into my cart on my way out the door! Some lonely little boxwoods might have found their way into my truck too. :)
