Sad News - Dudley

This afternoon Dudley - my 10 year old, 3.8 lbs. special-needs foster Yorkie - passed away from an aneurism. Dudley ate a good breakfast and lunch, received his standard belly rub and spent his last hour napping peacefully on my lap. Since entering Rescue six weeks ago, Dudley received extensive medical treatment and had just overcome the severe pneumonia and respiratory issues that troubled him. Everyone in Yorkie Rescue hoped that the worst was behind Dudley and was looking forward to his bright future. The previously undetected aneurism hit Dudley without warning and he died immediately. Dudley was affectionate, curious, playful and very active. He especially enjoyed the company of people and chasing & being chased by my kittens. His joy was to be picked up and then soak up all the kisses and love that he could get. Dudley was a sweet tiny fellow and I have adopted Dudley posthumously. Goodbye, my little Dudley...you have left us far too soon.......
