Happy Earth Day! Today is Beautiful and 86 degrees. The cherry tree blossoms at Highspire are blowing in the wind like snowflakes! This Earth Day makes me reflect on other Earth Days I have celebrated in the past. Yes, I have enjoyed prior Earth Days ... lying in Central Park at Sheep Meadow and catching rays, but the experience was always dampened by the spectre of Finals looming over my head. Years later in Washington DC, the cherry blossoms looking amazing on Earth Days at the Jefferson Monument, but dissertations and Oral Exams were only days away -- always a buzzkill. Now, all that is in the past and now I can just enjoy my daily reality and today's beautiful sunshine -- well worth the hard work and the wait!!
